Q: What are your customers saying about Energy Star homes?
A: Listen to this satisfied customer:
Dear Fulton Homes,
Thank you for the excellent product. The proof really is quantifiable! Here are highlights from my October SRP bill in my new 4000+ sf home. The bill below that is from October of 2010 in my 2165 sf single story rented home. A couple of key points here first my rented home was just over half the size and was built in 2005, so still a recent home. Second even though the new Fulton home is almost twice the size it still used less energy 2727 kWh vs. 2820 kWh and the average daily temperature was higher! (The cost per day was higher due to I had not enrolled in the SRP time of use plan.)
New Antigua – 2 Story 6 bed 4 baths 4065 sf.
Rental Home – Rambler 4 bed 2 bath 2165 sf.
I can only imagine the savings I would be seeing if I had stayed with a home of similar size. As we are getting settled in and starting to use the programmable thermostats this should only improve! I conservatively estimate $100/month in energy savings which equates to $20,000 on a mortgage…..
Thank you again,
- J.B. - Homeowner at Ironwood Crossing
