Taylor Family Announced as Fulton Homes'
Most Recent Pool Fence Winner

Fulton Homes has named the Taylor family as the most recent winner of a pool fence and installation, in hopes of avoiding another tragedy. The Taylor family was stuck by grief on August 8th, 2017 when, after a panicked attempt to decipher which of the three adults in the house was supposed to be caring for their niece Evangeline, they realized she had climbed through the doggie door and had fallen into the pool. The Valley family administered CPR and had little Evangeline helicoptered to Phoenix Children's Hospital; tragically, she was declared dead just one month before her second birthday. "We have another niece who has started walking and are unable to have her over because of the fear of the pool and losing another life," says Kimberly Taylor. Fulton Homes will be donating a brand new pool fence and installation in efforts to give Kimberly and her family the opportunity to be together without worrying about the water safety of their little ones. Fulton Homes has partnered with A Safe Pool, who will begin the installation on Thursday, June 27th at the Taylor family's home.

This installation takes place just six days after the near-drowning of a three year-old Phoenix boy who fell into the pool and was announced to be in extremely critical condition. Phoenix Fire responded to the home and brought the boy to an emergency pediatric hospital. Fulton Homes' Fence Patrol program highlights the importance of always watching children around water, and acts as a reminder that water emergencies, like the stories above, can happen in seconds. "Fulton Homes strongly believes that close calls can be avoided when the community as a whole puts an emphasis on water safety," Doug Fulton, CEO of Fulton Homes, said. "The dangers are real, and we want to continue doing everything we can to prevent another family tragedy. One is one too many."

Every Tuesday, starting April 30th and throughout the Summer months, a brand new pool fence will be installed at the home of a needy family, courtesy of Fulton Homes. Nominees can be submitted on the KMLE Country Radio website. Each week, one winner is chosen from the dozens of entries that are submitted.

The Fulton Homes Fence Patrol program is conducted in partnership with KMLE 107.9 and A Safe Pool. Fence Patrol is one of several water safety-related initiatives Fulton Homes supports.
