Patriotism for Veteran's Day

Fulton Homes programs support local youth and veteran-serving nonprofits

Commitment To Patriotism

Fulton Homes, Arizona's largest family-owned and operated homebuilder, continues to recognize the service and sacrifice of America's heroes through programs designed to encourage patriotism and support the veteran community.

"Supporting our military veterans has always been a core value at Fulton Homes," said Doug Fulton, CEO of Fulton Homes. "These programs were created to benefit the brave men and women who have served our country by generating funds for organizations providing vital services and resources for veterans."

Fulton Homes Fly the Flag is an annual campaign hosted by Fulton Homes in partnership with KSLX 100.7 and benefitting wounded veterans and their families through the Wounded Warrior Project. Now through November 11, 2021, Valley residents are invited to visit select Fulton Homes communities, tour a model home, and make a $10 donation to receive a full-size flag. Individual donations will be matched, with Fulton Homes presenting the Wounded Warrior Project with the donations and matches at the end of the campaign. Communities included in this promotion are the Promenade, Morrison Ranch, Cooley Station, Barney Farms, Estrella Commons and Escalante.

Veterans Day Honor Roll is a campaign held with 98 KUPD and benefitting the Pat Tillman Foundation. The program honors a different Tillman Military Scholar each week until Veterans Day, bringing awareness to their individual stories and service to the community. Fulton Homes and 98 KUPD make a donation to the Pat Tillman Foundation in honor of each scholar and those funds go towards the foundation scholarships. Each Veterans Day Honor Roll honoree is shared on 98kupd.com.

School Salute is a campaign in partnership with 94.5 KOOL-FM that supports local junior high and high school music programs with a patriotic twist. Traditionally, School Salute campaign participants have submitted their program's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" to compete against other schools for a monetary award and the opportunity to be heard on-air.

Students in the 2021-2022 school year are encouraged to nominate their favorite music teachers. The program selects a deserving teacher each month to receive $1,000 in funding for their music program and a pizza party for their students. 94.5 KOOL-FM features a recording of the selected teacher's band, choir or orchestra for the month. Students and parents can nominate a teacher at koolradio.com. The program runs until December 10, 2021.

This year marks the ninth consecutive year for the Fly the Flag campaign, which will also happen in conjunction with the Fulton Homes Veterans Day Honor Roll campaign, and the eleventh consecutive year for the School Salute campaign.
