Fulton Homes 'Stuff the Bus' Campaign Kicks Off July 1
Tempe-based homebuilder launches annual school supply drive
It may be the middle of the summer, but parents and children are already thinking about the school year, which beings in August. For some of those parents and caretakers on a limited or low income, the new school year comes with the stress of buying new school clothes and supplies.
Now, thanks to Fulton Homes, some of that burden will be relieved.
Fulton Homes is again partnering with KEZ 99.9 for the Valley's annual Fulton Homes Stuff the Bus campaign to ease that burden for some deserving families. This year's donation drive runs from July 1 through Aug. 4 at Chandler Fashion Center.
A full-size school bus parked inside the Macy's Court will bear painted handprints representing each child. Those handprints contain a list of items each child requires for a successful school year. Supporters can donate to a specific child or make a general contribution of requested items, such as pencils, pens, notebooks, backpacks, school uniforms and shoes. Shoppers can also return the handprint with school supplies to the mall's guest services area located near Barnes & Noble. Donations will be accepted at the Chandler Fashion Center and at all KEZ events and remotes. Volunteers will accept donations outside the school bus at the Macy's Court each day of the campaign during mall hours.
Volunteers will be on hand to collect new school supplies, clothing and backpacks for children in need at ICAN - Positive Programs for Youth, in Chandler.
"Children need to get a good start in the first few days of each school year," said Fulton Homes CEO Doug Fulton. "When you donate to 'Stuff the Bus' you make a positive difference in these children's lives."
