Fulton Homes Stuff the Bus Campaign Benefits Kids in Need
Leading Arizona Homebuilder Launches Multi-week School Supply Drive .
The new school year will begin in – gasp! – less than a month in some parts of the Valley.
For many families across Arizona, the start of the school year comes with more than excitement about another year of learning. It also comes with the financial strain of buying school clothes and supplies.
Fulton Homes is partnering with KEZ 99.9 for the Valley's annual Fulton Homes Stuff the Bus campaign to ease that burden for some deserving families. This year's donation drive runs from July 5 through Aug. 5 at Chandler Fashion Center, with a kick-off event Monday, July 2 from 4-6 p.m.
A full-size school bus parked inside the Macy's Court will bear painted handprints representing each child. Those handprints contain a list of items each child requires for a successful school year. Supporters can donate to a specific child or make a general contribution of requested items, such as pencils, pens, notebooks, backpacks, school uniforms and shoes.
Volunteers will be on hand to collect new school supplies, clothing and backpacks for children in need at ICAN - Positive Programs for Youth, in Chandler.
"The first few days of each school year are so important to let children get a good start in the next phase of their education," said Fulton Homes CEO Doug Fulton. "When you donate to 'Stuff the Bus' you can make a tremendous positive difference in these children's lives."
Volunteers will accept donations outside the school bus at the Macy's Court each day of the campaign during mall hours. KEZ's Marty Manning will be on-site with live broadcasts on the following dates:
- Saturday July 7, July 14, July 21 and Aug. 4, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Sunday, July 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Mondays July 2, July 16 and July 31 from 4 to 6 p.m.
