Fence Patrol Gives Gilbert Parents Who
Both Had Hip Surgery Free Pool Fence

Fulton Homes helps keep the Hyde family's one-year-old safe

Fulton Homes has awarded a Gilbert family a free pool fence to keep their one-year-old daughter, Kennedy, safe in their backyard.

Travis and Whitney Hyde started saving for a pool fence the moment they found out Whitney was pregnant with their first child. Unfortunately, after having their baby both Whitney and Travis suffered health complications. Whitney's pregnancy caused a blocked blood vessel that resulted in her needing a full hip replacement. Travis, a firefighter, found out shortly after that he would need hip surgery as well. His surgery requires travel to South Carolina because of the complicated nature of the injury. Due to these health problems, the Hyde Family's pool fence savings has been drained to pay for medical bills. They still fear for their young daughter's safety in the backyard.

"Fence Patrol provides families who need a protective pool fence the means to get one" said Fulton Homes CEO Doug Fulton. "In three out of four child drownings, the child was seen less than five minutes before tragedy struck. Water safety goes beyond the fence to swimming lessons and CPR classes for adults which are just as important and can also mean the difference between life and death."
